Tangram Fury Hawaii Puzzle Book Has Launched
• The Hawaii-themed tangram puzzle book is now available • This is the eighteenth in a series of Tangram Fury tangram puzzle books • It has released in both digital and paperback format in online stores and www.TangramFury.com
“The Tangram Fury Hawaii Book” includes tangrams that pay tribute to many of the sights and memories available from Hawaii. They celebrate the islands and the surrounding waters. The puzzles range from fancy fish and fishermen to shrimp shacks to Hula dancers, and more.
“I’ve been fortunate enough to travel to Hawaii a couple of times now,” Doug Nufer, author of the book and designer of the tangrams stated. “I’ve enjoyed every visit and would be happy to return. I remember my first night there, lying down on my bed and looking up at the ceiling fan. I said, ‘I could tangram that!’ And, I did. My favorite activity in Hawaii is snorkeling, and swimming among the amazing assortment of fish. Who ever heard of a unicorn fish before? That is why there are so many fish in this tangram book.”
The main section of the book is followed by a bonus section that includes cards for a tangram matching game. Each book’s set of cards can be combined with those of the other books to create an expanding deck of cards. The cards are also arranged in the book such that they could be photocopied onto colored paper and used with the main and original Tangram Fury competitive puzzle game.
“The tangram matching game really was added late in the design of the book series,” Nufer explained. “Originally, the books would just include puzzles to solve, but the idea came up of creating a matching game that could span all of the books in the series. In that way, it could tie in all of the books together. The matching game can stand on its own with the cards from only one book, or they can be added together to form an expanded deck by getting more books. The more books a person owns, the more cards for the matching game they will have. In a way, it’s like a reward for those who really like tangrams.”
The Tangram Fury Hawaii Book is available in both digital and paperback formats from Amazon.com, other online book sellers, and through the http://www.TangramFury.com website.
