OrecX Load Balancer Helps Service Providers Increase Revenue
OrecX, the world leader of open source call recording applications for call centers, enterprises and communication service providers (and the highest ranked call recording vendor on the Inc. 5000), today announced new load balancing software for its flagship Oreka TR call recording product. This enhancement enables communication service providers (CSPs) to increase profit margins by boosting their call recording capacity (up to 1,600 concurrent calls) without adding new recording servers. Service providers can service more customers, more efficiently and more cost effectively.
“The new load balancing features give our customers greater muscle power to do more on a single server,” said Bruno Haas, CTO of OrecX. “Service Providers also have far greater flexibility in how they capture and record calls. They can now capture audio traffic in one place and send it to another location to be recorded. The load balancer does all the heavy lifting so network administration is minimized.”
OrecX customer GENBAND, for example, can leverage the system’s enhanced capacity to reduce hardware costs and license administration as they expand their Cloud UC service, Nuvia. UCaaS services like Nuvia are experiencing tremendous growth in both the number of customers and the size of the deployments. OrecX architecture is ready to reliably scale to deliver the highest quality audio recording.
“This new tool helps CSPs and large scale users efficiently grow and elegantly achieve scale,” said Steve Kaiser, CEO of OrecX. “Call Traffic is equally distributed to all server instances, leading to better administration of calls and less network management. This also opens up new designs for high availability architectures and scaling.”
