Legacy Anaheim FC Newest Soccer Team to Join Rapidly Growing UPSL in 2015

TORRANCE, Calif. - April 3, 2015 - PRLog -- April 3, 2015 – Torrance, CA – The United Premier Soccer League (UPSL) is happy to announce Legacy Anaheim FC as the newest team to an already rapidly growing UPSL. The newly formed club looks to make an immediate impact on the UPSL season as they bring with it a strong core of Chivas USA reserve team players as well as the former coach of Chivas USA (B), Samuel Rivas. With such a strong and young squad the ultimate hope for the team is to one day earn promotion into Major League Soccer (MLS). Legacy Anaheim FC will challenge for a playoff spot playing in the Western Conference.

Ehab Zenga, Owner and Manager of Legacy Anaheim FC on his club’s entry into the UPSL stated, “I have been hearing a lot of talk within the Southern California soccer community about the UPSL. Colleagues and former players have told me that the competition level in the league is very high. And I have been urged by many to make the move into the league. I really look forward to competing and helping our players perform at the highest level possible. This is a great start for the club and we hope to continue our success in the coming years.”

The UPSL now consists of three conferences with a total now over 30 plus teams set for the upcoming 2015 Spring Summer Season spanning across Southern and Central California; which include Los Angeles County, Orange County, Ventura County, Santa Clarita Valley, Kern County and the Inland Empire.

The (UPSL) United Premier Soccer League was formed in 2011. The UPSL currently operates 26 teams all based in Southern California with a projected 30 plus teams for 2015 campaign. With the addition of new clubs, the United Premier Soccer League is Southern California’s fastest growing Pro Development League. Each UPSL team is individually owned and operated, and is responsible for maintaining UPSL minimum standards.
