The Teen Nation tour returns to Texas to wrap their 2014 tour

The Teen Nation Tour heads back to Texas to wrap up their 2014 Tour and share a powerful Anti-bullying message through a music fueled assembly to 40 schools and will reach over 40,000 Texas teens.

SAN ANTONIO - Nov. 11, 2014 - PRLog -- With Domestic violence on the rise many experts are finding research that proves, kids who are bullies are more likely to become the abuser in domestic violence cases. According to studies led by the Harvard school of Public Health, boys who are raised in homes with domestic violence will portray that behavior in school as a bully and as an abuser as an adult. Studies have also found that bullying in schools is on the rise in epidemic numbers and is having a devastating effect on our youth.

Bullying leads to depression, social isolation and suicide, the latter of which is now the third leading cause of death among young people, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

Studies have shown that the most effective way to reach teens, especially regarding bullying, is through other teens, on a peer-to-peer level. That is why these teen sensations are teaming up for this tour to help stop bullying and its long term effects by reaching these youth at the age that the problem begins in hopes to break the cycle.

The Teen Nation Tour (TNT) is a peer-to-peer community service program and campaign to educate youth about bullying.   The Tour, whose head offices are based in San Antonio have been touring the US since January 2014. They have visited over 150 towns and cities from Detroit to Atlanta and everything in between. The tour will wrap up in Texas and will have visited close to 1 Million teens this year alone.

The message is delivered in a way that students can relate – through music. The powerful 90 minute school assemblies for middle and high school students feature young, emerging recording artists from around the country who perform Top 40, country, pop, and rock hits. Artists volunteer their time to be on the tour and share personal bullying experiences, discuss the types of bullying, and prevention options.

In celebration of a successful tour we are celebrating our 2 week San Antonio tour by featuring 3 of San Antonio's local teen emerging pops stars. Jryan, Simply Rayne and Faith Marie who will also be joined by other Teen artist from across the US!

TNT kicked off the 2nd half of their tour on September 8 in Raleigh, NC and continued through North Carolina cities, Nashville, Knoxville, Atlanta, and will finish out the year throughout cities and towns in Texas. The tour also performed at some major events this year including a televised NASCAR Race at the Charlotte Motor Speedway and at a benefit concert for The Stand Up and Speak Out organization.

The tour also features a new campaign, Timeout for bullying awareness, to help students cope with and overcome bullying. This year’s tour features many new performers, including former Disney Radio artist Celeste Kellogg, as well seasoned TNT singers like J.Ryan from the X-Factor.
