Tata Elxsi appoints Mr. Ganapathy Subramaniam as Chairman of the board

BENGALURU, India - Oct. 29, 2014 - PRLog -- The Tata Elxsi Board of Directors announced the appointment of Mr. N. Ganapathy Subramaniam as an additional director and Chairman of the board, with effect from November 01, 2014.

He takes over the role of Chairman from Mr. S. Ramadorai, who stepped down from the Board of Directors of the Company, on attaining the age of 70 years as per the Company's policy.

N. Ganapathy Subramaniam is the Executive Vice President at Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. and head of TCS Financial Solutions, a strategic business unit of TCS.

Part of TCS and the Indian IT Industry for over 30 years, he has served in a multitude of roles in delivering solutions to TCS customers globally. As a part of his current role, he is responsible for steering the financial products business, under the brand name, TCS BaNCS, globally. TCS BaNCS is a suite of products covering the banking, capital markets, and insurance domains.

Earlier, as Global Head of the Banking Industry Practice for TCS, he was entrusted with the responsibility of creating new opportunities, knowledge/asset management, consulting, third-party alliances, and the overall management of product-related initiatives.

Mr. Subramaniam brings in-depth knowledge about technology trends, systems and policies of leading global corporations, and international business. He actively participates in banking, technology and business forums in addition to specific knowledge streams in risk management and Six Sigma orientation.
