Heather Egermayer and Shannon Dahl Open Home Helpers of Westminster

WESTMINSTER, Colo. - June 25, 2014 - PRLog -- Westminster, CO – Two women with experience in senior care and advanced degrees in business and leadership have come together to launch a new business in Westminster, Colorado.

Heather Egermayer and Shannon Dahl recently launched Home Helpers of Westminster, which serves Westminster, Broomfield, Arvada and Denver. Home Helpers is the nation’s leading franchise specializing in comprehensive home care for seniors, new mothers and individuals needing recuperative and continuing assistance.

Launching the business started a few years ago when Shannon was working for another Home Helpers franchise owner, Rick Cseak, who owns multiple locations in and around Denver.

“I developed a deep appreciation for Rick, Home Helpers and what the company does for seniors and their families. I’ve had a few positions since then, but a few months ago, I thought about opening my own franchise. I went to Heather with the idea and we decided to be 50/50 co-owners,” Dahl said.

“Home Helpers is a great organization and we’re thrilled to be part of a wonderful company full of like-minded people,” Egermayer added.

Dahl earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing in 2004 from Creighton University. She later earned her Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration from Regis University with the intent to serve seniors and the baby boomer generation. She has worked in the senior care community for 4 years and has vast experience in home care, home health, and the durable medical equipment arena. Shannon feels strongly about helping families keep their loved ones in their homes.

Egermayer earned her Undergraduate degree in Business Administration in 1998 from Regis University and shortly after completed her Master’s degree in Organizational Leadership at the College of Saint Mary. Heather has spent her career working in the senior industry; with the last 5 years being in the assisted living sector. Her experience ranges from sales and marketing within retirement living to adult activity programming for individuals facing Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.

“We are both extremely passionate about providing the best possible quality of life for seniors and their caregivers. We want to be involved in helping families make the lives of their loved ones as comfortable and happy as possible,” Egermayer said.

Home Helpers offers free in-home consultations and works with each client to create a flexible, affordable care plan based on a person’s individual needs. Services offered can include companionship, laundry, light housekeeping, respite care, meal preparation and transportation as well as services such as medication management and personal care management.
