Brown, whose mom is a caregiver, was inspired to open Home Helpers after his brother suffered a massive stroke at the age of 25.
"He was the youngest person to have a stroke in the history of the hospital and he couldn't speak or move. I cared for him and we developed a close bond throughout his recovery. I saw how having someone who was passionate about your well-being involved in your everyday life can really make a positive impact," Brown said.
Brown, who has a background in business, sales and marketing, understand that positive impact could translate to professional caregivers and decided he wanted to bring that to the North Houston region.
Home Helpers and Direct Link of North Houston offers free in-home consultations and works with each client to create a flexible, affordable care plan based on a person's individual needs. Services offered include personal care such as grooming, bathing, ambulation, medication management and care management as well as respite care, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, companionship and transportation.
"I think it's important for people to know that it's OK to ask for help. I opened this business because I'm passionate about providing top-notch care and an excellent customer service experience. My team and I are here to help you live your life to the fullest," Brown said.
Brown's team specializes in care for seniors, those need recuperative assistance, new mothers and injured athletes.
