Mother Son Team Launch Home Helpers Business
Home Helpers is the nation's leading franchise specializing in comprehensive home care for seniors, new mothers and individuals needing recuperative and continuing assistance. Home Helpers offers Direct Link which is its proprietary line of 24/7 medical alert systems, including a fall sensor with GPS locator and an automated medication dispenser. Patti has been a caregiver for most of her career and has worked with the elderly, developmentally disabled adults, children and animals. The idea to open Home Helpers all started with Dylan, who realized his mom was underappreciated for all her hard work.
"I started researching business opportunities and, when I came across Home Helpers, I knew it would be the perfect fit. I went to meet the corporate team in Cincinnati and got all the information together before talking to my mom about the business and, when I did pitch it to her, she was on board. Home Helpers is a great opportunity for my mom to use her skills to work for herself and for our family to provide a better care option in this region," Dylan said.
Home Helpers of Grand Junction offers free in-home consultations and works with each client to create a flexible, affordable care plan based on a person's individual needs. Services offered include personal care such as grooming, bathing, ambulation, medication management and care management as well as respite care, meal preparation, laundry, light housekeeping, companionship and transportation.
"What makes Home Helpers of Grand Junction great is that we are combining the top notch Home Helpers business program with a highly trained and compassionate team. I've been a caregiver for a long time and I understand the kind of training and personality it takes to be a great caregiver. We are building a caregiving team that's only staffed with people we would trust to take care of our own loved ones," Patti said.
"I would always suggest that, before families look into nursing care or assisted living, they give Home Helpers a call. In many situations, seniors and those needing assistance can living safely and happily at home with a caregiver for much less than the other options. Regardless of what you decide is right for you or your family, we'd be happy to come talk to you about the options with Home Helpers," Patti added.
