Buyers Fall in Love at First Sight at Hidden Ridge at North Caldwell, NJ
Thanks to buyers falling in love at first sight, Hidden Ridge at North Caldwell, a collection of four-bedroom colonial-style attached homes, is already 50 percent sold.
“While we were not looking for a new home, our friends invited us to tour the model at Hidden Ridge and we were so impressed by the spaciousness of the home,” explains Wendy. “We love the walls of windows to bring in lots of natural light and the high-end standard features such as real hardwood floors, beautiful decorative moldings, and granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in our center island kitchen. The three fireplaces, the built-ins and the fine finishes were more than we expected.”
Bob adds, “We chose a model with an elevator so we can accommodate our older family members and ourselves as we age in place.” The Fetterlys also enjoy the finished basement, which they affectionately call their “cave” to entertain visiting friends and their grandchildren.
Unlike the Fetterlys, Nisha and Meelin Patel were in the process of searching for a larger home to accommodate their growing family. “With a new baby and parents who visit, we realized we needed more space and were looking for a while,” explains Meelin. “When a friend recommended Hidden Ridge, we immediately fell in love with the multiple levels. With the finished basement and unfinished bonus space, we have four levels of space to suit our needs now and give us room to grow in the future.”
“We really like the luxury standard features like hardwood floors, granite countertops and stainless steel appliances in the kitchen,” adds Nisha.
One feature both families rave about is the owner’s suite with a fireplace, oversized walk-in closet and spa-inspired tiled bath with soaking tub, dual marble topped vanities, and frameless glass enclosed shower. Both appreciate the additional bedrooms with full bath and laundry upstairs. Other features include energy efficient two zone heating and air conditioning, recessed lighting, and a two-car garage.
Both families agree, the community setting with its top of the hill views and professional landscaping is enchanting, but the location in northern NJ cannot be beat. The Fetterlys work in Verona which is just minutes away, and have family in the area. They also like the convenience of being so close to the Garden State Parkway to take them down the Jersey Shore this summer. The Patels enjoy an easy commute via Route 46 and being able to be in NYC within 30 minutes by bus or train.
“We also love the area for its excellent and top rated schools,” notes Nisha. “We are so happy that the town’s school buses stop right in front of the community, too. It’s going to be so convenient for us.”
According to New Homes Specialist Lorraine Hurlbut of Coldwell Banker in Caldwell, “North Caldwell is continually voted one of the ‘best places to live’ by state and local media. Not only does the community offer excellent schools, easy access to major highways and an array of boutique and convenient shopping, but it also provides residents with the innate beauty of established, tree lined neighborhoods and small town charm. Residents are within three minutes of trains to NYC and the Willow Brook Mall which offers a park and ride.”
