TransActive Education & Advocacy changes name to TransActive Gender Center

PORTLAND, Ore. - March 26, 2014 - PRLog -- TransActive Education & Advocacy announced today that it has changed its name to TransActive Gender Center.  This change is being made to better reflect the comprehensive range of resources and services this national non-profit provides to transgender and gender nonconforming children, youth, families and the communities in which they live.

“We are thrilled to unveil our new name not only to the families we serve but also to our professional, legislative and community partners,” said Jenn Burleton, founder and Executive Director of TransActive Gender Center.  “Since its inception in 2007, our organization has been following a growth trajectory focused on providing the very best in education, direct services, advocacy and clinical data for research purposes.  TransActive Gender Center better represents where the organization is at today, and where we are going in the future.”

To celebrate this change and their newly expanded office facilities, TransActive Gender Center will be hosting an “Open House” on Wednesday, April 9^th from 4pm – 7pm.
