Maryland Speech Language Pathologists Continuing Education and License Renewals

Dec. 16, 2013 - PRLog -- Maryland-licensed speech language pathologists have a biennial license renewal with a May 31st deadline, even years.

Continuing education is due by December 31st, odd years. Thirty (30) continuing education hours are required to renew a license. There is no limit on home study, and there must be a post-test and certificate.

ASHA is usually accepted for national accreditation, and you can request prior approval if in doubt.

Twenty hours of continuing education must be directly related to speech language pathology, not more than 10 credits may be in areas related to audiology, speech-language pathology or both, including practice management courses.
