The real-time capabilities with salestar connect ensure that, for example, sales are recorded as they happen. Full details of the sale, including staff data and telecom-specific information such as IMEI numbers are then instantly uploaded into the central database. In addition to this, the commission for any such sale is also calculated straight away according to the predefined terms (type of commission e.g. volume bonus). The staff member will have connected to third party suppliers such as the Network to register the activation or a payment gateway, and the results of this are also seamlessly updated.
Managers can use this real-time information to decide on a course of action, e.g. if there is a special offer on a tariff which is doing very well the price could be increased (only of course if they have the access rights to do this). They can also measure the sales against the daily target or KPI’s and adjust things accordingly. All information is available to view on a dashboard with the correct access rights, so staff members can see where they meet or exceed targets – and managers can create incentives based on this.
Using reports the managers or decision makers can see patterns regarding the business from stock or even how the business works at different times of day, for example, if they see that a certain handset is selling very poorly they can create an offer that will increase its attractiveness to customers, or if they can see that sales are really bad in the evening they can adjust selling techniques or even opening hours to optimise their business’ revenue.
