July 30, 2013 - PRLog -- LONDON, UK – 4 MARCH 2013 - Unitrends, the leading provider of all-in-one backup, archiving, instant recovery and disaster recovery solutions, today announced Kevin Moreau as its managing director for Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA). Moreau will be responsible for overseeing operations and accelerating growth throughout the EMEA region. His appointment comes after Unitrends announced its expansion into Europe with the opening of a new London office. Unitrends has already hired additional employees in the region who will work closely with Moreau to support the company’s growth mission.

Under Moreau’s leadership, Unitrends will extend its rapid U.S. growth trajectory across EMEA. Last year, Unitrends grew 88 percent 2012 over 2011, marking the best year in the company’s 24-year history. This record growth is the result of high-velocity sales in the U.S., along with a solid international presence, with steady sales and a growing network of customers and partners. Unitrends’ unrivaled customer support team also contributed to the company’s success, achieving a customer satisfaction rating in 2012 exceeding 98 percent. Moreau will be responsible for building an established network of partners in EMEA that will support the company in its mission to deliver the same superior level of care and service internationally that its North American customers have grown accustomed to.

Moreau is also tasked with expanding Unitrends’ channel program throughout the region. In 2012, Unitrends’ channel program grew 104 percent year-over-year. The company also experienced 198 percent growth in new value-added reseller (VAR) accounts, 2012 over 2011, with 200 net new accounts signed.  Unitrends’ partner ecosystem now consists of more than 500 organisations worldwide.  Additionally, more than 1,700 members have joined UniRewards -- a new loyalty program for Unitrends’ channel partners and resellers designed to incentivise every step of the sales process -- since the pilot program launched in October 2012.

Prior to joining Unitrends, Moreau spent more than six years at backup software vendor Acronis. As the U.K. general manager, Moreau built the U.K. operation from the ground up and assembled a strong team to support sales and channel development in the region. Moreau also started a corporate accounts practice covering northern Europe to increase Acronis’ visibility and revenues with larger accounts. Moreau also provided channel accreditation and acceleration in Southeast Asia and Hong Kong.

During his career, Moreau also held several senior management and operational positions, including with startups Collabrys and Rpost.com. He spent a number of formative years working for B2B consulting firm Ducker Research, where he specialised in strategic market analysis projects in Europe, Asia, North America and South America. While with Ducker Research, he also co-founded and helped open a regional office in San Francisco.

“Unitrends is poised for tremendous success in the backup and recovery market,” said Moreau. “The company’s high-quality products are extremely well-positioned for what customers expect in backup and disaster recovery. Under the leadership of President and CEO Mike Coney, the company’s growth has shifted into high gear. I will be responsible for extending this high-growth strategy into the EMEA market, and with our world-class technology, leadership and network of partners, there is no doubt in my mind that we will succeed.”
