By: TriTech SBDC

CORONA, Calif. - July 16, 2013 - PRLog -- TriTech Small Business Development Center (SBDC) today announced it has received a $12,000 grant from Comerica Bank to enhance the delivery of its consulting services, workshops, conferences and webinars in the Inland Empire and Orange County.  In addition, TriTech will use these funds to provide assistance to existing and aspiring small business owners and entrepreneurs through one-on-one consulting, resource connections, marketing and sales assistance, capital raising assistance, business plan/model development, and business feasibility studies.

William Becker, vice president of the western market for Comerica Bank, believes that Comerica’s success is dependent upon helping people succeed. “This vision shapes our approach to community investment and guides the framework of our charitable support and community partnerships,” Mr. Becker explained.  “The Comerica Corporate Contributions program and Comerica Charitable Foundation work to support our objectives of having a strong and positive image in the communities where we do business.”

“This award will increase our impact in our local community by assisting existing businesses and creating a support infrastructure that fosters the creation, expansion, and sustainment of small businesses,” said Mark Mitchell, Director of TriTech SBDC.  “We help businesses and entrepreneurs to commercialize new technologies, market their products and services, and identify capital and knowledge resources.  Our services are provided at no cost to our clients through a grant from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) and local sponsor funding.  Our team of seasoned expert consultants mentors and instructs clients through one-on-one consulting on business formation, technology utilization, and capital acquisition.”

TriTech has had a tremendous impact on the local economies that it serves.  With the Comerica grant, TriTech will be able to increase its economic impact in the local community.  For every $1,000 of capital TriTech receives, TriTech generates approximately $113,000 dollars in economic impact.  The SBDC is evaluated based on how much economic impact it provides through the number of jobs it helps create, the amount of capital it assists its clients to access, and any changes in sales generated by its clients.
