Real-time guidance to principals towards better Leadership

BANGALORE, India - May 10, 2013 - PRLog -- Hyderabad, 9th May 2013: New initiatives for educational reform generally take place on the assumption that something is wrong with the existing practices and new ones may improve the situation. Educational reforms strive to showcase different perspectives on pedagogy, mindsets and attitudes with the foresight to a brighter system of education.

Pearson Schools, a part of the world’s leading learning company had organized a Principal’s conference where heads of institutions from across thirty five of its schools came together at Hotel Golconda from 30th April – 4th May 2013. Prof G Balasubramanium , the former  director( ACADEMICS)  of CBSE  and Father Aikara, former chairman of ICSE who are regarded the visionaries of education attended the event.  

The conference aimed to delve into the basics of educational leadership offering practical suggestions for its implementation, so that school leaders bring a change by transforming the environment and culture of schools. Members present at the conference unanimously believed that other schools should also emphasize such issues.

In the recent past, major school reform agendas in India have witnessed complete absence of school leadership as concept and practice. Principals, being leaders of educational system could influence their guidance potentials that would bring a remarkable change in the way schools function.

The event endeavored school leadership and how it is developed and supported. These modules would help principals understand various leadership tools and delivery techniques that lead to better performance.
