Blake Shelton’s 'The Voice' Team-Member Celebrates 5 Years Sober

NASHVILLE, Tenn. - April 20, 2013 - PRLog -- Blake completed his treatment and turned his life right side up, for good.  He appeared on the #1-rated hit television show on its debut season as a top 4 contestant on Blake Shelton’s team.  Since his appearance on ‘The Voice’ Jared Blake has been on the road and in the studio non-stop, signed a recording contract, opened for country music’s hottest acts, headlined his own shows, and is humbled as ever.

Almost two years post-show, the one thing that hasn’t changed was his commitment to his family and himself.  “It’s been a whirlwind, the good kind, and I wasn’t even supposed to be alive.  I have so much to be thankful for,” Blake continues, “It’s all the smaller things in life that I don’t take for granted anymore.  I’m constantly reminded (having six kids) that my life is about balance and hard work.”

Blake is also set to release his single, Countryfied, in May 2013.  Known also as a father of six, Jared announced that his kids will play a big part of the music video scheduled to release shortly after the single.  He has yet to inform the public what those details are.
