Combining resources, CalWorkSafety and HR NETwork will continue to offer Workers' Comp Claims Consulting and Administration and Safety Services, including the following:

• Work with insurance carrier to establish a cost containment plan
•  Accident investigation or review of incident to help determine if injury is reportable as a workers' compensation claim as well as a recordable OSHA injury
•  Assist with proper, legal "first aid" treatment to reduce frequency of workers' compensation claims
•  Monitoring treatment of injured employee
• Assist or exercise on behalf of clients medical control for "life of claim" with insurer approved Medical Provider Networks, of if MPN is not used, for initial 30 days

•  Assist or implement return to work program for clients to reduce costly temporary disability claims
• Review claims for fraud potential
•  Aid in expediting any necessary specialist care

Miriam Lopez has more than 15 years of experience in the Human Resources field.  She has worked in all aspects of Human Resources for a variety of industries, and specializes in: medical devices, manufacturing, restaurants and academia. Miriam is the team’s bi-lingual (Spanish) expert in employee and supervisor training and safety.

Carol Mulcahy, Certified Personal Trainer
