Carlisle Events Recognized by ARMO Council during 2012 SEMA Show

Nov. 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Carlisle Events, the preeminent leader of collector car events worldwide, has been recognized in many circles since its inception in 1974.  Though each award has a special meaning to the Miller families, the company's recent recognition during the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Manufacturers Association) event was extra special.  As part of SEMA, ARMO, the Automotive Restoration Market Organization, honored Carlisle Events with its Industry Recognition Award for relevant and specific contributions and support throughout 2012.

ARMO is a council of SEMA and is dedicated to addressing the many challenges facing the aftermarket portion of the automotive hobby/industry.  Like Carlisle Events, ARMO directs its efforts toward preserving and promoting the automotive restoration hobby/industry.  Many entities serving the auto restoration hobby, be they manufacturers, distributors, retailers, restorers or car clubs, are ARMO members.  Carlisle Events, an ARMO member for some time, works hand in hand by hosting the New Products Showcase as part of Spring Carlisle.  This display allows enthusiasts to see what will be available for their collector car in the coming weeks and months.  Further, during the Carlisle Truck Nationals, Carlisle Events worked with the LTAA (Light Truck Accessory Alliance), another SEMA council, to display how a stock jeep could be transformed into an accessorized show vehicle.

With the 2013 season on the horizon, Carlisle Events, ARMO, the LTAA and various other SEMA Councils are working towards yet another successful automotive season.  The new year will include more opportunities to bring young enthusiasts onsite.  This will include more kid-friendly activities as well as the age limit for free child admission raised to 12 and under.  Further, the New Products Showcase will be back as part of Spring Carlisle, Carlisle Events will once again support the "Take a Kid to a Car Show" initiative and the Hot Rodders of Tomorrow competition will return to Spring Carlisle.
