Sept. 27, 2012 - PRLog -- Donna L. Quesinberry, CEO of DonnaInk Publications - THE BOOK NOOK - advanced Mr. James Weber to the role of Acquisitions Manager. A recent graduate of the University of Maryland, Mr. Weber's studies in English Literature prove beneficial to THE BOOK NOOK Team in determining our "Select Author" Shelf and "General Submissions" Shelf. While many manuscripts are remitted directly to Ms. Quesinberry, she states, "James is our first source in reviewing manuscripts when determining talent and market readiness. After James our editorial team takes manuscripts through a three-tier review process. At this time, I do read all manuscripts to completion prior to moving into production, post-editorial. After initial cursory reviews - incoming works go directly to Mr. Weber for his referral to either our 'Select Author' Shelf or our 'General Submissions' Shelf. While the Acquistions Manager does not have final say on manuscripts - let's say he has a strong initial influence. James handles additional roles post-acquisition in providing program manager duties for signed authors and leadership oversight of their market action plans (at this time)."

THE BOOK NOOK's CEO furthered, "We feel fortunate to have James on board - he is an excellent resource and a quick study!"

Mr. James Weber, Acquisitions Manager at THE BOOK NOOK, graduated from University of Maryland in 2012. James studied English Language and Composition with a minor in percussion performance. In addition to his course work, he played with the University Wind Ensemble, the University band and Korean Percussion Ensemble. James states, "I owe much of my college experience to the Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. As an active member, I was able to help create enrichment activities for brother's education in fields outside their cirriculum (MOE). As the Chair of Risk Management, I served on the grievance committee and created, revised and implemented policies against hazing and alcohol abuse, which kept brothers accountable to the values and mission of our fraternity, their lives and futures. It is an excellent opportunity for me to be a part of THE BOOK NOOK Team!"

Look for the Acquisitions Manager's 'picks' on THE BOOK NOOK website (www.donnaink.org) very soon! It is a new feature being promoted in November.
