Sept. 20, 2012 - PRLog -- RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- TriTech’s “The Power of Innovation” will offer residents of the Inland Empire and its business community an opportunity to learn about the investor funding process, participate in creative presentations on innovation, funding and entrepreneurship, and connect with entrepreneurs and other financial professionals from companies across Southern California.  

TriTech’s goal is for the public to witness firsthand entrepreneurs’ difficult path to securing capital from investors. This event will take place on October 4, 2012 from 6-9:30pm in downtown Riverside at 3834 Main Street Riverside, CA 92501 during the City of Riverside’s Long Night of Art and Innovation (

John Tillquist, vice chancellor of economic development at Riverside Community College District, commented, “With a variety of entertaining events from businesses pitching for investors' interest, to audience participation, the TriTech SBDC will be the place to be during the Long Night.”

The Power of Innovation is an interactive and dynamic event that will showcase innovation in the Inland Empire. The event will feature several dynamic, educational and entertaining presentations on innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship and will be highlighted by a Fast Pitch Competition where 10 entrepreneurs give 60-second pitches to a panel of investors. TriTech’s Power of Innovation will culminate with the Piranha Pool where three entrepreneurs vying for a chance to win the grand prize present their deals to a panel of investors.  

Mark Mitchell, director of TriTech SBDC, commented, “This event will highlight the Inland Empire’s next generation of entrepreneurs and the support that TriTech is giving to keep them competitive and ahead of the learning curve. Great events like the Long Night show that the city of Riverside is a very entrepreneurial city and an innovation hub in Inland Southern California.”
