| William Peace University Earns SACS ReaccreditationFour-Year Baccalaureate University Receives Approval Of Its Accreditation Reaffirmation Process From Regional Body Overseeing Higher Education Institutions
Every 10 years, all accredited colleges and universities nationwide must have their accreditation reaffirmed by their regional accrediting agencies. SACS is the longtime accreditor of William Peace University, having done so for more than 60 years. The review process took approximately three years and included completion of a Compliance Certification document to outline the extent to which the university is in compliance with core requirements and comprehensive standards. A Quality Enhancement Plan (QEP) was completed, which informed SACS of our innovative curriculum on ethical decision making. Accreditation by the Commission on Colleges signifies that William Peace University has a mission appropriate to higher education; has resources, programs, and services sufficient to accomplish and sustain that mission; and maintains clearly specified educational objectives that are consistent with its mission and appropriate to the degrees it offers, and that indicate whether it is successful in achieving its stated objectives.
