Intervention Specialists' Announces Addition Of Dr. Louise Stranger Director Of Clinical Relations

June 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Intervention Specialists announced today the newly created post of Director of Clinical Relations, which will be filled by academic and industry veteran, Dr. Louise Stanger. Based in Los Angeles, Dr. Stanger joins Intervention Specialists’ Director of Family Care, Dr. Kathy Willis, who is also based in L.A., and Interventionist Sean Firtel, BR-I, based in San Diego.

Dr. Stanger has extensive experience in grief and loss counseling, and had the privilege of working with the NYC Fire Department and widows of 9-11 after the World Trade Center attacks. She was twice named a member of The Outstanding Undergraduate Faculty at San Diego State University, and was the recipient of San Diego County’s Outstanding Educator Award. Dr. Stanger has served on the Board of the National Council on Alcoholism, and continues to explore and evolve the efficacy of various treatments, such as Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Coaching, Family Systems Therapy and 12-Step Facilitation.
