DLR Group Adds Retail Design Experts

June 18, 2012 - PRLog -- DLR Group announced today that Andy Feola, AIA, has joined the firm's Pasadena office. He was previously the founder and president of F+A Architecture.

Feola is an award-winning designer who elevates the expertise available to clients through DLR Group. For the past 40 years he has been at the forefront of retail design nationally and internationally, helping to establish shopping and the shopping center design as key drivers of local economies. Feola's designs consistently forge a connection between retailer and consumer through engaging retail environments.

"Andy is keenly aware that design is a collaborative process that must drive traffic and revenue for clients," said DLR Group Senior Principal Adrian O. Cohen, FAIA, and California Regional Leader. "He brings a domestic and international portfolio that elevates our retail expertise for clients regionally and globally."

Feola's resume and experience include projects throughout the United States, Canada, India, Asia, the Middle East, and Mexico. David Bircher who partnered with Feola at F+A Architects also is joining DLR Group.

"Retail design must be driven by practical solutions to maximize the utility of the space for the client. That is innovation," said Feola, AIA. "Retail is the great engine that powers the economies of Southern California and the world. We believe retail development is on an upswing, and DLR Group is in a prime position to help build back this market."

DLR Group is also moving to a new office location in Pasadena at 117 East Colorado Boulevard.

"We have forged relationships with several new clients and are experiencing growth driven by retail design work locally and internationally," said DLR Group Principal Brian Arial, AIA, who leads retail design in California from Pasadena. "With this growth we have added new staff and we need more office space. The move to 117 Colorado will enhance collaboration and allow our design studios to function as close-knit, integrated teams."

DLR Group serves California clients from offices in Pasadena, Santa Monica, Sacramento, Riverside, and Palm Springs.
