Triangle Grading And Paving Awarded $10.9 Million To Widen Rea Road In Charlotte, N.C.

June 7, 2012 - PRLog -- BURLINGTON, N.C. – R. “Gray” Kirkpatrick, vice president of Triangle Grading And Paving, Inc. (http://www.trianglegradingpaving.com), has announced that the company recently received a $10.9 million contract from the Charlotte City Council to widen Rea Road between Colony and Pineville-Matthews roads. Triangle Grading and Paving will increase the road’s safety by eliminating blind hills and curves as well as adding sidewalks, bicycle lanes, a new bridge and a stripping lane.  The project is two miles long and features extensive modular block retaining walls and new curbing and sidewalks. Discussions of the planning and phasing for the project began in 2002, and construction is expected to begin in early July.
