Back To School For Save Britain Money

May 29, 2012 - PRLog -- Swansea company Save Britain Money are going back to school on Friday 1st June to raise money for local school, Plasmarl Primary School.

Headteacher, Lucy Sanders recently contacted the Save Britain Money group appealing for donations towards improving the outdoor learning facilities for the school.

She wrote “We are sadly lacking in our immediate school environment. Our playground is grey concrete with very few resources to help stimulate or interest the children. We know that children under 5 learn better and develop quicker with outdoor lessons. Unfortunately we don’t have the funding within our budget to be able to appropriately resource the outdoor learning areas”

Save Britain Money group are always happy to support local causes and as the school is situated close to their Matrix Park headquarters, the company were determined to help.

The group will be holding a ‘Back to School’ themed day on Friday with fun incentives and money raising ideas lined up. The staff have been encouraged to come to work in school uniform and will be digging out their old school blazers and ties for the day.

The Headteacher and a group of pupils from Plasmarl Primary School will be visiting the SBM head offices during the morning and SBM group CEO Neville Wilshire will be challenging the pupils to a race in the car park. A film crew from BBC3 are also on hand to capture some of the highlights from the day.

CEO Neville Wilshire is delighted to be able to help the school. He said “We know that Plasmarl is situated in a very socially deprived area of Swansea and cuts in budgets mean that they are reliant on fund raising and donations.”

“Our business is thriving and we are in a great position to be able to provide some much needed support to the community. The school are looking to raise around £2500 to create an outdoor play area and I will be personally trebling all donations made by my staff to ensure that we can give Plasmarl Primary School the playground they deserve.”
