SWANSEA, Wales - Dec. 11, 2013 - PRLog -- This Christmas we have a new band entering the battle for Christmas number 1 as Nev and The Call Centre go head to head with SuBo and the X-Factor, with their charity double A-side SWSWSWN and a cover of the Killer’s hit Mr Brightside in C Sharp.

SWSWSWN, takes its name from one of Nev’s most popular sayings “Some Will, Some Won’t, So What – Next!” and the specially written track, recorded at Music Wales, has a definite hint of Goldie Lookin’ Chain about it. The lyrics are light hearted, shining a spotlight on Call Centre characters including Hayley and Twe as well as recounting Nev’s infamous run in with Angela Ripon on the One Show.

The second song is a unique cover of Mr Brightside with Nev taking on the Brandon Flowers role in a version he’s calling Mr Brightside C Sharp. The video for Mr Brightside was shot in and around the town of Swansea and featured around 200 members of the public from major businesses such as Tesco and Tata Steel. Since the video was released on 2nd of December, it has attracted over 10,000 views on YouTube from all over the world with viewers from as far as Canada and Australia relaying what a great place South Wales would be to visit.

When asked to comment on the single, Nev said “I’m obviously excited about this one, I think it’s the first B-side in music history. I have been a frustrated rock star my whole life so the chance to record a single is fantastic. I’m incredibly grateful to Music Wales who are providing their services free of charge so we can give all profits straight to a charity.”

“The chance to raise a good amount of money for charity is what is driving our efforts. Most charity records pick the big UK wide charities to support but as a Welsh company recording in Wales I felt it was important to support a charity that does important work across Wales. Tŷ Hafan offers comfort, care and support for life-limited children and young people and it is an honour to support them.”

Jeremy Jackson, Tŷ Hafan’s Director of Marketing and Fundraising, said: “We are absolutely delighted that we’ve been chosen by Nev, the directors and employees of Save Britain Money as the charity beneficiary of the Call Centre’s Christmas single. Tŷ Hafan serves all of Wales and we need to ensure awareness of our services to attract referrals of children in need of our care throughout the country.

“For Tŷ Hafan to be recognised by the Call Centre speaks volumes for Nev’s sense of community and social responsibility towards the people of Wales.”

Music Wales Director Paul Child said, "We're delighted to be working with Nev and his team in the recording and release of their charity single, I'm sure that it will be a great success.  I'm looking forward to seeing Nev in the charts and who knows; maybe he could even be the next Tom Jones!"

The official music single will be released on 16th December and with all profits raised donated to Tŷ Hafan, the hospice for young lives. We ask everyone to share the video with friends, download the track and support an excellent cause this Christmas.

The official single will be available to download online via iTunes and Amazon for £1.29 with the CD single available to purchase from £2.25 from at HMV.com, Play.com, Amazon and from select Tesco stores in Wales.
