Estevan's Hometown Hero Derek Daku Fights Devon Smith for the Hard Knocks Heavyweight Title

May 24, 2012 - PRLog -- Hard Knocks Fighting Championship, Canada's fastest growing Mixed Martial Arts promotion, returns to Estevan, Saskatchewan for the School of Hard Knocks 24 (HK24).

The official press conference for HK24 will take place on Wednesday, May 30, 2012 at 6PM at XS-IV Gear in Spectra Place.

On Friday, June 1, 2012 the Hard Knocks cage will be host to an all amateur event featuring fighters from across North America. UFC Fighter Jesse Bongfelt will be bringing some of his best fighters from his gym. Derek Daku of Estevan will battle Devon Smith for the highly anticipated title fight for the first Hard Knocks Heavyweight belt. HK24 will also be host to Saskatchewan's first junior match. Christian Crowthers, the 12-year-old son of Hard Knocks fighter Charmaine Tweet will fight 14 year-old Roark Franke out of Estevan, with modified junior MMA rules.

Ari Taub, CEO of Hard Knocks, will be in attendance at the HK24 Press Conference with Bongfelt, Daku, Smith, Franke, and Crowthers.
