Sugar Loco (www.sugarloco.com) is scouting Phoenix, AZ and they are hitting up the sweetest hot spots in the valley. Founded by two sweet ladies, Jenny Ford and Tracy Corcoran began challenging one another via Twitter showing off their favorite desserts. The cherry on top of this relationship was when Sugar Loco was born. Through their website they are reviewing local sweet shops, interviewing the best of the bakers and letting their readers know every delicious detail about desserts you can order online. Known for their love of everything sweet, Sugar Loco is growing their team of authors and bringing on board local Phoenix resident and author, Jaclyn Douma to sample the greatest desserts in the valley.
Author, Jaclyn Douma has quite the sweet tooth herself as it showed with her recent win of the national Real Women of Philadelphia Cream Cheese Contest –Dessert Category. She is making her way into the food and wedding industry with her cookbook, Our First Year: Cost Effective Recipes from the Home of Newlyweds filled with practical, every day cooking.  Douma has taken her passion for cooking and joy of teaching others and bundled it all in an easy to read cookbook.
As a contributing author to Sugar Loco, Douma will be sampling desserts from Arizona restaurants and dessert shops. Seeking the sweet truth of the best desserts, Jaclyn’s first stop is the Arrowhead Grill in Glendale, Arizona where she will be sampling their giant cupcake made with their signature butter cake filled with strawberry icing. Baked to serve six, Douma is planning a delicious sugar high and a giant to-go box, as she will probably be having plenty of left-overs after she’s through.
