Sugar Loco Launches Satisfying America’s Sweet Tooth

Sugar Loco is tapping into the growing trend of desserts

Jan. 27, 2011 - PRLog -- ONLINE  - Sugar Loco (www.sugarloco.com) is the premier online resource for people who take pleasure in everything sweet.  Focusing on bringing city based bakeries & restaurants, online treat shops and dessert recipes to a one stop sweet-spot for the end consumer.  Sugar Loco strives to make sure consumers are finding the best of the best and the latest in dessert trends on the market for the everyday and special occasions.

Sugar Loco’s mission is to spread the word about sinful sweets from the web, stores/restaurants and through delish recipes.  It is our intention to interview high profile bakers/authors and local pastry chefs - giving cities across the country the recognition they deserve.

This sweet (online) spot was “baked up” through a sweet tooth rivalry between founders, Tracy Corcoran and Jenny Ford, on Twitter.  “It began with chatter, and escalated to sending each other tweets of our delicious desserts.  Homemade treats, luxurious restaurant indulgences, or a simple favorite candy, we tried our best to outdo the other with our sweet splurges” says Tracy.  “Yes Tracy, but you know who won that sweet competition…me!” Jenny strikes back.

Sugar Loco is spreading the word about the best of the best in trends on sweets providing Feedburner subscribers with a new sweet, interview or location to visit Monday through Friday.  Sugar Loco will be actively promoting their finds via social media (Twitter, Facebook, YouTube) and through various forms of media.

About the Sugar Loco founders
Tracy Corcoran
Tracy began selling accessories on Etsy in 2008 and also blogs about the vibrant handmade community (www.sweetharper.com). She loves shopping for unique gifts that are local and/or artisan made. Tracy lives in Minneapolis with her high school sweetheart and two children. If Tracy were a dessert she would be a heaping scoop of birthday cake ice cream in a handmade waffle cone (you know, the kind that have a malted milk ball waiting for you at the bottom).

Jenny Ford
Jenny’s first business endeavor began 10 years ago when she founded Monkey Toes (www.monkey-toes.com), which recently acquired a major licensing deal which will boost her company to amazing degrees. Her love for business and start-ups ensures her a spot as a serial entrepreneur - and Sugar Loco is her next venture. Jenny is the wife to a fire fighter and mother of 3. If Jenny was a dessert she’d be a chocolate cupcake (tons of butter cream frosting) and vanilla ice cream combo, "extra sprinkles please" - a classic dessert with a spoonful of silly and just the right combination of chocolate and vanilla.
