NJ Eyebrow Shaping Expert Predicts Best Brow Trends for 2012

Dec. 29, 2011 - PRLog -- Professional eyebrow shaping expert in NJ, Valentina Chistova, says 2011 was the year of the brows.  Women in the public eye, like Michelle Obama, made powerful statements when they stepped out with their perfectly groomed arches.   Valentina says the New Year will bring increased attention to this under-looked but overly important fashion accessory.

Eyebrows have definitely had an impact in fashion history, and according to Valentina, we are going to see a reemergence of thicker, fuller brows reminiscent of Elizabeth Taylor and Grace Kelly.   “Think glamorous Hollywood,” says Valentina.  “That is the look that we will be seeing more of on the Red Carpet and on the runways. “

All eyes were on Kim Kardashian as she walked down the aisle this year, and she did so with bold, beautiful eyebrows.  Valentina says that Kim’s eyebrows are naturally full, but that she also emphasizes their shape and fullness by using brow powder.  “Brow powder looks the most natural and can be used to fill in areas where hair does not grow,” explains Valentina, “It can also be used to add length to eyebrows that are too short.”

As far as shapes, Valentina always works with a client’s natural shape, enhancing brows by ensuring that they begin, arch and end at very specific points. “It all depends on their bone structure and facial layout.  We use certain points of the face as measuring guides to ensure that the brows form the perfect frame for the eyes and compliment facial features,” she says.  

For anyone that has over-plucked, Valentina says there is still hope.  She says that a lot of brow hair may still grow back, although it may take a while. Valentina’s advice, “Patience is key, put down the tweezers and see a professional eyebrow stylist every two weeks to keep your shape clean while you are waiting for other hairs to grow in.”  

Products used to grow lashes may also help with the growth of eyebrow hairs that have been plucked one too many times.
