31st Bed Bug Attack Rattles Brooklyn Public School; Bed Bug Bully Suggested to Prevent More Repeats

Nov. 10, 2011 - PRLog -- One Flatbush Public School was attacked by bed bugs last month. However, not like the other schools reportedly infested by the crawlers, it's the 31st time for Public School 361.

According to New York Daily News, the school sent letters to parents last October 31 informing them of the incident. Within the letter was also a warning about bed bug bites being initially painless but could become itchy and swollen.

Believing that it is unlikely for schools to be bed bug infested, the Department of Education said it will still conduct an inspection. If the infestation is confirmed, the department added that treatment for the areas infested will follow.

Nonetheless, the fact that the school was once again infested by the blood-sucking pests aggravated the parents. They fear that bed bugs will extend their infestation to their homes.
