Hope Music Festival Announces National Music Acts, Open Casting Call

Aug. 22, 2011 - PRLog -- The 4th annual Hope Music Festival slated for Saturday, September 24, 2011 at the Jeffersonville River Stage has announced its music lineup and it includes some national contemporary Christian touring heavy-weights. Addison Road (with five top-twenty radio hits, 2 platinum albums, Dove Award and Artist of the Year nominee) will anchor this year’s event as its headliner.  The festival has also booked the Taylor Shea Band known for their rollicking performances at the Ichthus Music Festival for the past 2 years and Brigitte Donoho who opened for Third Day at this year’s Spirit Song Festival in Kings Island, Ohio.

“We are still waiting on final confirmation from Brandon Green,” Event Coordinator Jeff Minton said, “He just finished opening up for Keith Urban in Knoxville, so we are hurrying to book him before someone else does.” Green has been part of the last 3 Hope Festival events and is best known for his Top 50 finish on American Idol, runner-up on CMT’s “Can You Duet” and one-half of the country music duo, JB Rocket.

Regional acts and Louisville music scene favorites scheduled to perform are defining Ezra, Honeywagon, the Jake Parker Band with Younger than Noah out of Indianapolis. The festival will be introducing—also from Indy, the band Black Diamond Fiasco and local youth bands Brief Encounter and myfakehero to round out the all-day event.

New to the event this year is the Hope 5K Run/Walk for Water beginning at the Jeffersonville, River Stage at 8:00 o’clock AM EST. The race runs along Riverside Drive to the Falls of the Ohio State Park and back for what should be a magnificent new race course.

Lastly, there is an open casting call for 2000 dancers to participate in the festival’s “Dance Your Shoes Off,” flash mob and video shoot.  Clean Socks Hope, the charity behind the festival is partnering with Louisville nonprofit EDGE Outreach and Jeffersonville feeding ministry Jesus Cares at Exit 0 along with numerous church partners to sponsor the 2011 Hope Music Festival featuring Addison Road. The festival still has openings for local artisans, businesses and ministries who would like to participate.
