Following his recovery from a single-car accident while driving north on water saturated Interstate -10 up to the Feliciana Forensic Facility with his partner and prisoner, Detective Raleigh Spencer finds himself spiraling into a storyline penned by the devil himself, where he and many other citizens of Ole Orleans Parish become entrenched in a vacuum of pure evil layered with unholy alliances that promises to change lives forever.  It turns out that his prisoner, Colin Cyrus, had made a pact with Satan to deliver a baby boy unto the Prince of Darkness in order to assure a higher pecking order for himself in hell.  After he brutally rapes Cora Lee, Colin is efficiently killed in the small bayou cabin by the committed detective.  And she, well she does become pregnant; but, whose baby is she carrying? For she had two sex partners on that bleak Louisiana morning!  

Scott intricately weaves a suspenseful fabric of memorable subplots that race through the Crescent City’s historic streets toward a thrilling, climactic and surprising conclusion.

A baby boomer born in South Central Los Angeles, Leamon E. Scott was raised by a single mother following the death of his father at age eleven-months.  There were hard times and there were good times while growing up in an environment deemed “poor” by society.  Moral fortitude and family values were key components beneath a lifetime of creative prowess and humble gratitude.  Retired from the normal workforce, he is enjoying playing jazz with his group S&R Jazz Connection, writing, and seeking opportunities to share his “world” with others.
