July 20, 2011 - PRLog -- DURHAM, NC – With great appreciation and a hint of sadness, Cimarron Homes President Craig Morrison announces the retirement of Cimarron Homes Director of Marketing, Apryl Watkins.

“Apryl has been with Cimarron for almost 30 years,” says Craig. “She has worn numerous hats, and has been a huge contributor in the success of our company. Although I hate to see her go, I am happy for her as she enters the next phase of her life, where she will devote her time and talents on a full time basis to the business she has nurtured for many years, Custom Floral Creations. I speak for the entire company in saying that we are grateful for all that Apryl has done for us, and we wish her much success in her new endeavors.”

As Craig stated, Apryl has served in a wide array of capacities throughout her tenure at Cimarron. For the first 12 years of her career Apryl worked in the field as a Cimarron Assistant Superintendent, overseeing home building procedures and assisting buyers with selections. Once inside the office, Apryl worked in Purchasing, In-House Production, and Plan Design before moving into her current position as Director of Marketing. Under her leadership, Cimarron has been the recipient of numerous Parade of Homes Awards, Major Achievements in Marketing Excellence (MAME) Awards, and Home Builders Association (HBA) of Durham, Orange, and Chatham Counties Awards. As an Affiliate HBA member, Apryl has been actively involved in various HBA functions over the years, chairing committees such as Neighborhood Market/Realtor® Appreciation and the Holiday Gala multiple times. In gratitude of her dedication to the HBA, Apryl has been recognized with the HBA Presidential Service Award on three separate occasions. Apryl’s footprint in the industry has not gone unnoticed.

“My experience with Cimarron has been nothing but amazing,” says Apryl. “I cannot even begin to list the fond memories and the wonderful people I have met and come to love. I hold it all close to my heart. I hope to continue to keep the ties tight and the memories flowing, even though I will not be in the Cimarron office on a daily basis.”

Upon her retirement from Cimarron, Apryl will begin the next chapter of her life story. “I am very excited that I will be able to embrace my passion in working with flowers and event planning, which I’ve been doing part-time for the past 11 years,” says Apryl. “Custom Floral Creations will become my full time career. I am very excited about marketing myself with the ability to better serve my existing clients while engaging new ones.”

Apryl’s last day at Cimarron Homes will be July 22, 2011. Kudos to this fine individual on a job well done. For more information call (919) 382-2888 or visit www.cimarronhomes.com.
