ScreenConnect 2.2 Provides New Interface

Newest release supports new session groups, notes, transfer, filtering, and more

ScreenConnect is a self-hosted remote support solution that provides users the capability to access and control computers or servers remotely. The 2.2 release offers ScreenConnect users a new, more intuitive path for managing attended and unattended sessions via the new user-defined grouping and filtering options. Through its new host page, users can now arrange sessions through a set of filters that will organize their sessions into manageable groups for quicker access.

As ScreenConnect users log into the new 2.2 release, they will see a dramatic change in the aesthetics. The new user interface leverages the data management and user interface aesthetics created by some of the top web development companies today. Hosts can now filter attended sessions out by host or type of session, and unattended sessions can be filtered by any number of variables including information in the notes or parts of the unattended installation name.

“The 2.2 build has been the most fun of any project for us so far. It wasn’t just technical; we were able to be a bit creative and really consider how to design a user interface that can be utilized by our SMB and enterprise level customers alike. We researched some of the most popular email, music, browser, and social media sites today to create a list of best practices for our new interface,” said Jeff Bishop, Business Development Manager for Elsinore Technologies. “The whole grouping and filtering of unattended sessions has been a high priority for our customers. Many of them have hundreds or thousands of clients deployed, and they needed a better way to manage and search for sessions.
