C.R. Referrals – Costa Rica Travel Experts throws support to DOGLAND in 2011

Jan. 1, 2011 - PRLog -- C.R. Referrals – Costa Rica Travel Experts - All our employees have been involved with animal rescue work from before we ever opened our doors as a travel service. All of our agents have 2 things in common, they worked in upper management in the tourism sector in Costa Rica, and they all LOVE animals.

We are starting an exciting new program in 2011 and I wanted to share it with all of you.

For those who do not yet know about us, our travel services are always free, we specialize in custom vacation itineraries and packages for travelers wanting to visit our country. We make commissions like all travel agents do, but we are a little different in that we donate everything after company operating expenses to charity, specifically dog rescues in Costa Rica.

If you live here, own a business here, or have traveled here, you know this is a problem that affects us all. With an estimated 1 million street dogs here, it’s hard not to notice…

Our clients make the rescue work we do possible. This year we are starting to get more involved with an amazing shelter located in San Ramon. We are shifting some of our focus and resources towards Dog Sponsorship at Dogland.

You can visit the shelter website and choose the puppy you would like to help support; we then take a portion of the commission that we make from your vacation and make a donation in your name to the puppy of your choice in the form of sponsorship -  http://meetyourdog.com/Our_Dogs.html

With your permission you will be listed as a sponsor on the shelter website, or if you prefer can remain anonymous. If you have no interest in actually choosing a dog, we will choose for you. You are under no obligations at all.

DOGLAND is a NO-KILL shelter, currently housing 145 dogs. The woman who runs it has a heart of gold and we are honored to join forces with her and helping her on her own mission. The photo shown is of a recent visit.

There are 2 things we are passionate about at C.R. Referrals, Costa Rica Vacations, & Animal Rescue. Our clients made it possible for us to help hundreds of dogs in 2010 and we look forward to our new program, the year ahead, and helping hundreds more.
