Nov. 13, 2010 - PRLog -- As we’ve previously stated before, the field is a little smaller than previous years because we were on hiatus for a while. Having said that, one just has to go back and look over the books reviewed from November of last year to September of this year. We do have a very competitive group of books that just might make it. With that in mind, this year’s nominees are as follows:

PRINCE ZEETHER’S DEFECTION by Miguel Aviles
THE BALLAD OF BAWDY MCCLURE by F.S. Vander Meer
CROWN OF VENGEANCE by Stephen Zimmer
INCLINATIONS by David B. Harrington
A DIFFICULT LIE by J.H. Mortensen
FUTURE IMPERFECT by F.S. Vander Meer

The interesting thing about the nominees this year is that F.S. Vander Meer has two books nominated for the coveted Pluto Award. In last year’s nominees announcement, Sue Dent had two of her books nominated. Ms. Dent ended up with one in the finals. Good luck to Ms. Vander Meer on her nominations. The two finalists will be announced December 4 and the winner will be announced on December 18.
