Expo Offers Networking Opportunies While Supporting Cancer Program

Sept. 22, 2010 - PRLog -- Stamford - KT Health & Fitness, a premier Stamford fitness facility and ITEX, the largest Business to Business barter company in North America, are proud to present ‘Living Well,”’ a networking expo featuring area businesses, from restaurants to local artists, to be held at KT Health & Fitness’s facility at 83 Harvard Ave in Stamford, on September 30th from 5:30 to 9 pm.
The expo aims to encourage local small business networking and promotion while raising money to support the Bennett Cancer Center’s Hope in Motion program.  
“"We are happy to be able to host this event with ITEX and in collaboration with 20 other local businesses that not only want to grow their business in the toughest economy, but help to raise money for Hope In Motion!," says William Asher, co-owner of KT Health & Fitness.  Apart from their unique brand of personalized training, fitness assessments, metabolic testing, nutritional counseling and massage therapy, KT Health’s hallmark is their cancer rehabilitation program ‘Cancer Care Fitness,’ established in close working partnership with Stamford Hospital’s Bennett Cancer Center over the last 10 years.  KT Health is the only fitness facility in Fairfield County to offer a rehabilitative program catering specifically to clients undergoing cancer treatments or post cancer procedures.   All proceeds from ‘Living Well’ will go to the Hope in Motion program at the Cancer Center.

“This event is really about people learning about healthy things to do and be a part of, “ says ITEX rep, Katia Garcon, who initially came up with the idea for the event.  “There will be dance demonstrations by KJ Charles Dance Studio, Costco will be there as a vendor, local restaurants like Habana and Fez, and we will also have an open bar handled by liquor distributor William Grant & Sons.”
