Session Description:

Physical location is not a barrier to finding top talent around the globe, in fact, now is the best time to be a global recruiting professional. Whether based in the U.S. and seeking talent abroad or based somewhere in the international community, the internet opens up a wealth of tools and resources to give us endless opportunities to resource for candidates across borders and access the talent we seek. The saying “location, location, location” becomes crucial in global resourcing as you need to consider sites not dominant in the U.S. but popular in other regions of the world. We will explore best practices for accessing global talent online and how the proliferation of social and professional networking sites, blogs, micro-blogs, and new search engines increases our ability to resource candidates effectively and efficiently.

During this session you will:

• Learn quick global search tactics for finding the talent you need by using powerful search commands and search engine specific features.
• Discover how to get the most relevant international results from cutting edge real-time and visual search engines.
• Explore how to conduct advanced Boolean searches leveraging social media sites, LinkedIn is a dominant site in the US but you will learn which sites can augment your searches globally.
• Conduct deep-web searches to extract your desired passive talent and explore additional tools to develop candidate profiles when the “perfect CV” doesn’t exist.
