Follow on Google News | The Web.Files Interviews Web Celeb Tim Street of French Maid TV and 1TimStreet.com Blog“The Web.Files” gives viewers the inside scoop about the hottest series on the web, and the “Web Celebs” who create them.
Red-carpet entertainment veteran Kristyn Burtt, creator/host of The Web.Files, recently sat down with Street at the Scarlet Tea Room in Pasadena, CA, to discuss his role as one of the pioneers in the web series field. Street’s corporate headquarters, Ape Digital, is based in Pasadena. Street shared his decade-long store of wisdom on all things web – from details about his career path, to a discussion about his first web series, French Maid TV, a sponsor-focused training series featuring busty French maids as product specialists, to news about his future plans to expand his web series production slate. Burtt learned that Street was drawn to create stories for the Internet because of his early grasp of its power to reach millions of viewers. Indeed, his popular series, French Maid TV, has garnered him millions of hits according to a Setember 2, 2009, Tubefilter article. Street said that his series is dedicated to inspiring “joy and lust” in its male-dominated audience. Street has attained respect for his business model in the web world as one of the few series producers to have monetized – no small task in an often bewildering online climate for both advertisers and content producers. In addition to being CEO and chief creative officer at his company, Street also writes a popular blog, 1TimStreet.com, about new media. He will be a featured speaker at Blog World Expo in Las Vegas, October 15-17, 2009. Launched on July 8, 2009, The Web.Files has racked up tens of thousands of hits for its weekly serial talk show. The Web.Files is uploaded Wednesdays to http://www.thewebfiles.blip.tv, where it is featured as a hot series on the front page each week.
