By: Mr.Anant.K.W Ans. Multimeter, as the name specifies, gives the user the functionality to measure multiple electrical parameters using a single meter. Basically it allows the user to take the readings for resistance, current, voltage, capacitance, frequency, temperature continuity, diode check, etc. for the circuit under test. The multimeter is widely used in industry basically for following applications: • Maintenance • Servicing • Research and Development A multimeter comes very handy for the user in the above applications. 2. What are your different products offering related to this market? Ans. Rishabh Instruments Pvt Ltd takes care of the needs of the user and has definitely surpassed their requirements by providing the user with a very accurate, rugged and safe multimeter series. We serve the user with our RISH Max Series and the RISH Multi Series of multimeter. The RISH Max Series is the best selection for the general technician who needs ruggedness, safety and accuracy. The RISH Multi series is a fully loaded, very accurate, rugged and safer multimeter series equipped with wonderful features for the best operating experience for the user. 3. What are the latest trends and technologies? Ans: The latest trends and technologies in the scope of multimeter is the use of digital technology and implementing different features which now is redefining the world of ‘Multimeters’ 4. Which are the major application areas? Ans. Multimeters find their major application in the areas like: • Maintenance: • Servicing: • Research and Development: The field may vary from educational institutions, electricians to industries. 5. Please highlight on Multimeter market evolution in India? Ans. At the early stages the technicians used to measure the electrical parameters by using galvanometers. The issue was for different parameter the measuring instrument had to be connected in a particular way. Later, with the new developments in the analog technology being made, it became easier for the user to have a better device to measure the electrical parameters. While all this was going on, the need to have a single device to measure all the electrical parameters started cropping up. This led to the development of the multimeter. As the electronic industry faced the major shift in the technology from analog to digital one, the multimeters were started being made using the digital technology. 6. How do you see the future for India? Ans. India, due to the intellectual property and the population property, is becoming the hub for most of the industries in the world. Many of the international organizations have setup and are seeking to set up their plants in India to get the advantage. Thus the industry is expanding here. Now as we look into the multimeter business, we can find that the need for the multimeters also is rising sharply for taking care of the applications in these industries. With this increase in the market and as the customer is well aware of the quality and safety factor to be extracted from the multimeter, the multimeters with the best quality and safety shall be alive in the market while all the under graded products shall face extinction. 7. What are the main challenges? Ans. At the current moment it is found that many industrial users are aware about the quality and the safety standards yet we find scope for education much more users in industry as well as other sectors regarding the same. At this stage there is a tremendous flow of the cheap under graded products from foreign markets. These products are unsafe and just provide a cost economy for the user even while putting his life at stake. The root for this lies in the mentality that the user has, which shall be uprooted by proper education for safety and quality of these products. 8. Please highlight on Government Initiatives? Ans. We really appreciate the steps Government took to reduce the import duties for the electronic devices and equipments. This opened our eyes towards the quality of products being made in foreign countries, which was very necessary. The next milestone was that the Government allowed and supported the technology transfer from the developed countries to India. It also supported the 100% Export Oriented Unit (EOU) which made it more beneficial for us to rise our quality of products and then export them to foreign countries thus supporting the Indian economy. 9. What are your future plans? Ans. Our plans to satisfy our esteemed customers are as follows: • Our goal is to increase the product ranges in our product basket and allowing more choice for the user to select the product from. • Rishabh Instruments Pvt Ltd is quality conscious organization. We have a deep sense of gratitude towards our clients and the nation, thus with our products complying with stringent safety standards we are able to keep safe the life of the user, the circuit under test and the multimeter. Thus we are able to express our gratitude towards the masses as a whole. We shall educate the masses towards the safety and the quality of the products thus propelling the awareness of safety and quality. # # # Rishabh Instruments Pvt Ltd, a 23 year young organization that has built its core competence in manufacturing, design and development of Test and Measuring Instruments and Industrial Control Products on strong fundamentals.
