| Barix Joins Crestron's Integrated Partner ProgramPartnership incorporates control of Barix Audio over IP Products into Crestron systems
The integration of Barix device control within a Crestron solution will provide system integrators and installers with a versatile tool chest to reliably deliver voice and audio over existing network infrastructures. The partnership will allow Crestron customers to take advantage of Barix Instreamer (encoding), Exstreamer (decoding), and Annuncicom (intercom/VoIP) “Barix is pleased to partner with Crestron to provide bullet proof, reliable IP Audio distribution and Intercom products,” said Johannes G. Rietschel, CEO and Founder of Barix AG. “Crestron is the ideal partner as a leading global provider of control and user interfaces. The robust control platform from Crestron is a perfect companion to cost-effectively control Barix' IP based Audio delivery components to stream audio between rooms, to servers, or to another continent.” Potential commercial applications include audio control and distribution in hotels, casinos and clubs, as well as classroom recording and Podcasting solutions at schools and universities. Intercom systems in both commercial and residential security applications also benefit from the Crestron/Barix partnership, allowing operators to bridge traditional intercom systems and IP-based control solutions. "Barix joining our Integrated Partner Program helps our dealers integrate our Intercom systems via IP." says Chris Wildfoerster, Director Business Development for Crestron "As facilities get larger and more complex, IP enabled intercom becomes critical for internal communications as well as security requirements." All Barix products are inexpensive, low-power devices that are scalable to the growth of the operation; offer reliability through a PC-FREE design with no moving parts; and serve as a flexible platform for integration into virtually any operation requiring audio transport and delivery. Barix also offers programmable software to engineers and end users for universal custom programming. Local control, audio relay, and low-latency streaming are a few examples of custom programs using Barix’s BCL software environment.
