Instagram Introduces Reels Watch History Feature to Help Users Rediscover Lost Videos

DULUTH, Ga. - Oct. 25, 2025 - PRLog -- Instagram has rolled out a highly anticipated feature that addresses a common frustration among Reels users: the inability to find videos they've previously watched. The new Reels Watch History tool allows users to view every Reel they've seen over the past 30 days—making it easier than ever to revisit, share, or save content they may have forgotten to bookmark.

To access the feature, users can navigate to their profile, tap Settings > Your Activity > Watch History, and scroll through their viewing activity. The history can be sorted chronologically or by creator, offering a practical solution for those trying to track down a specific video from an account they can't recall.

The move comes as Instagram continues to prioritize short-form video and direct messaging, reflecting evolving user behavior on the platform. While the 30-day limit falls short of TikTok's six-month history, it marks a significant step toward improving content discoverability and user experience.

A minor bug currently displays an option for custom date ranges beyond 30 days, but Meta has confirmed this is unintentional and will be fixed soon.
