Daylon Graphics releases Leveller 4.3

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - Nov. 16, 2024 - PRLog -- The Daylon Leveller heightfield/terrain modeler has been updated to version 4.3, which includes many new features such as Windows HighDPI support, friendlier toolbars, a modeless properties panel for document settings and preferences, custom brushes, Grab tool, sharper colormap and contour line rendering, XOR selection mode, easier file reimporting, and a favorite commands toolbar. Tool settings can also be saved as application defaults, and brush sizes can be changed interactively. Both the raytracer and the dynamic LOD renderer received significant performance boosts.

As Landshaper Golf has been discontinued, its features have been moved into Leveller, such as the Restore brush and golf hole routing vector shapes. For backwards compatiblity, Leveller 4.3 can open Landshaper Golf documents.

"Leveller 4.3 started shipping a year ago," administrator Ray Gardener explains, "starting with using the Visual Studio 2022 toolchain and focusing exclusively on 64-bit builds to improve and simplify development. Over the next several months more and more features were added. "The website was also revamped for better display on mobile devices," Gardener continues. "and several videos were added to its Tutorials section to help explain some of the newer features."
