Daylon Graphics releases Leveller 4.4

The powerful but friendly heightfield/terrain modeler gets even better

VANCOUVER, British Columbia - May 18, 2025 - PRLog -- The Daylon Leveller heightfield/terrain modeler has been updated to version 4.4, which includes new features such as an interactive raster transform tool, freehand vector path tool, improved Powerline tool, Tiny Erode plug-in, tapered brush strokes along vector paths, and the ability to place and rasterize arbitrary 3D object meshes. That last feature required updating the document format, so files saved with placed objects are not openable by earlier versions of Leveller.

For Unreal Engine users, an open source UE plug-in that imports Leveller heightfields into landscape actors was also made available. The GDAL raster driver for Leveller was also updated to support its more recent document formats.

"Leveller 4.4 started shipping in December 2024." administrator Ray Gardener explains. "As with version 4.3, over time more and more features were added. The "Check for Updates" command lets users browse the detailed change log to decide if and when they want to upgrade, or they can visit the log on our website at https://www.daylongraphics.com/support/changelog.php".

Several bug fixes and cosmetic improvements were also made, and it's recommended for users experiencing issues to upgrade. Those with an earlier 4.x version can upgrade for free by contacting support@daylongraphics.com.
