Mercer County Voter Disenfranchisement Hearing Set for August 16th

Superior Court Judge McLaughlin to Rule on Motion to Dismiss
 
TRENTON, N.J. - Aug. 12, 2024 - PRLog -- The lawsuit filed by 10 Mercer County residents against the Election Board of Mercer County has progressed to its first hearing, scheduled for 2:30pm, August 16th, at the Mercer County Courthouse, Courtroom 3D, 175 Broad Street, Trenton, NJ.

Superior Court Judge Brian Mclaughlin will listen to oral arguments for and against a motion to dismiss by the defendants. This case involves allegations of civil and constitutional voting rights violations in Mercer County, New Jersey during the 2022 and 2023 general elections. The plaintiffs claim that the failure of tabulating machines, the improper handling of paper ballots upon the failure of tabulating machines, and the improper use of provisional ballots resulted in the disenfranchisement of voters and the rejection of valid votes.
