Best-Selling Children's Author Talks About Her Upcoming Book

ATLANTA - Aug. 9, 2024 - PRLog -- Jan-Carol Publishing, Inc., of Johnson City, Tennessee, is thrilled to have had the opportunity to chat with best-selling children's author Julia Russo on Bookmarked, the company's weekly podcast and blog duo.

Julia Russo spent many winters in the mountains along with her little dog, Chloe, and her sweet

husband, Kent. She continues to live in Atlanta, but her heart is really in those woods. One of her favorite things ever was hearing her first graders read aloud. She sometimes wrote for the government and companies, and later wrote descriptions of homes. She even spent time as what is called a roustabout! Russo continues to visit her mountainside cabin often. One of these days, she's hoping to get a little goat.

Russo is the author of Maggie the Cat Who Came Home for Christmas, her debut children's book. The story, which was released in 2023, became an overnight success—topping the Amazon best-seller list just one day after the book's release.

Delightful illustrations bring you inside Grandpa Charlie Green's mountainside farmhouse in Maggie the Cat Who Came Home for Christmas. Readers can join Maggie the cat, Pip the goat, Grandpa Charlie Green, Daddy, and of course, little Wilhelmina Olive Blessing, as she tells us this sweet wintertime story. What do they do to get little Maggie home?

With a second story in the series on the way, Julia joined JCP on Bookmarked this week to chat about her upcoming book, Maggie the Cat Loves Pip's Thanksgiving Surprise. The book's adorable cover was announced to build anticipation for pre-orders, which begin on September 1st through JCP's online bookstore: https://jancarolpublishing.square.site/s/order?shipping=true.

JCP's Bookmarked is a joint experience between the company's weekly blog and podcast. Every Wednesday the Bookmarked Blog highlights sneak peeks from the upcoming podcast episode, including blog-exclusive questions for featured authors. On the podcast, which releases every Friday, JCP members Allison and Draco sit down with authors to discuss everything from their inspirations to their upcoming publications.
