According to Classroom Central, NC state test results show proficiency rates plummeted due to the pandemic, as only 45.4% of K-12 students passed state exams. For economically disadvantaged students, the pass rates dropped to only 28.8%. ONE in every TWO local students live in poverty and can't afford the supplies they need. Locally, that means 127,000 students need 1,000,000+ supplies.
