Newest Cast Members for CDI's WWII Drama Have Several Duties

LANSING, Mich. - July 8, 2021 - PRLog -- Experienced actors Nathaniel Nose and Stephanie Peterson have joined the eclectic cast of Collective Development Incorporated's WWII home front drama, 'Silent Night In Algona.'

And for each actor, responsibilities to the final film, inspired by actual events, go beyond their appearances in front of the camera.

Mr. Nose, a Lansing (Mich.) native and artist with ranging talent (writer, director, VFX supervisor, digital compositor, stunt coordinator), will play the role of 'Lt. Grant.' He was wounded in action in Europe - including loss of an eye - and was assigned to the home front where he serves as the top aide to Col. Lodell (DJ Perry) at the Algona (Iowa) German POW camp.

Mr. Nose has worked with CDI for 15 years and has performed in many capacities. He was a digital compositor on CDI's award-winning 'Wild Faith'; he directed, edited and supervised VFX on 'The Christ Slayer' (the third installment in CDI's 'The Quest Trilogy); he directed, edited and Executive Produced the short, 'Smoke & Mirrors' (being developed into a feature); and he edited and VFX supervised on 'Best Years Gone,' CDI's dramedy set for release in the fall.

In addition to putting back on his acting shoes for 'Silent Night In Algona,' Mr. Nose will serve as the film's editor and VFX Supervisor.

For Dallas (Texas) area based actress Stephanie Peterson, she is the second-billed 'Peterson' in the cast. But she plays a much bigger role. 'Mom and Mentor' to her 11-year-old son, Samuel.

Earlier this year, and after a nationwide search, Samuel Peterson was cast as 'Donny Tietz.'

But the final okay had to come from Samuel's parents. And with their son's enthusiasm for the story and the role in his first feature - not to mention the work on auditions during the heat of competition for the role – 'Donny Tietz' was cast.

Stephanie, an experienced actress, has a strong background in theater from Stephen F. Austin State University (TX) and has been building a solid film and TV credits' list for several years.

She's best known for 'I Am Gabriel'; 'Bicycle Bobby'; 'Picket Fence' ; and being 'mom.'

The casting process for 'Silent Night In Algona' has been ongoing for eight months and is nearing its completion.

The role of 'Linda,' Col. Lodell's secretary, was still available. After reviewing Stephanie's demo reel and knowing she would be on set with her son, producer's offered her the role.

'Silent Night In Algona' was written by DJ Perry and will be directed by Anthony Hornus. It films in Oct.-Nov. on location in Kossuth County, Iowa.
