The feature returns audiences to 1880s Michigan in the continuing story of Emmett Murphy and his family as they rally a frontier community to help orphans arriving by train for the holidays—drawing on the true history of the Orphan Train movement. Wild Faith Christmas enters TWBFF with 14 major award nominations, including: Best Picture, Best Director, Best Drama, Best Ensemble Cast, Best Faith Film, Best Cinematography, Best Musical Score, Best Actor and Actress, Best Child Actor and Actress, Best Supporting Actor. All the nominations can be seen here: https://www.thewildbunchfilmfestival.com/ This recognition underscores the film's heartfelt performances, cinematic scope, and artistic achievement. Wild Faith Christmas will screen on Sunday, October 26, 2025, as the festival's closing film, followed immediately by the TWBFF awards ceremony. Full schedule and ticket information will be available on the festival's official website. "We set out to craft a Christmas western that carries real heart—about generosity, courage, and the families we choose," said Shane Hagedorn, the film's director, co-producer, and lead actor (Emmett Murphy). "Premiering at TWBFF—with its deep love for western stories and western lifestyle—is a perfect home for our first public screening." "This sequel widens the Wild Faith world with new characters, period adventure, and a timely message," added DJ Perry, producer, writer, and nominee for Best Actor. The producers are working to bring a TV series based on the two films to a platform or network. They insist on maintaining the creative control that has brought an ever-growing audience numbering in the tens of millions to the beloved franchise. End
